Adam Paxton qualified as a physiotherapist in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) from Brighton University, and subsequently gained an MSc in Football Rehabilitation. He has worked full time for the past 7 years in elite professional sport, including the last 4 and a half years in the medical department for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Adam has also worked for a number of other professional football clubs and has experience with other sports at elite level, including rugby, swimming and rowing. Adam is currently the lead physiotherapist for the (newly renamed) Saracens Mavericks in the Netball Super League.
Adam’s special interests lie in treating injuries of the lower limb, particularly hips and groins, knees and ankles, and is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapist in Sports and Exercise Medicine. His practice is influenced by his reading of the current research in sports medicine and his extensive experience of rehabilitating Premier League footballers back to full competition and optimum performance. This involves hands on techniques and exercise prescription targeting muscle imbalances and joint mobility discrepancies. He is qualified in Western Acupuncture.
Adam recently moved to Hertfordshire and is an avid gym goer. He has previously played football, rugby and hockey at school and county level and enjoys watching a plethora of sports in his spare time.
