    • Katie McMullan graduated from University of Liverpool in 2014 and started her career in a large NHS trust in Liverpool. She progressed to a musculoskeletal role, working alongside orthopaedic Consultants and clinical specialists, developing a keen interest in diagnosing conditions that would require operative management and the rehabilitation of these post-operatively.

Alongside her NHS role, Katie also worked with the student athletes from University of Liverpool Athletic Union, providing rehabilitation, injury prevention programmes and pitch side cover. She then progressed into the role of head physio with Liverpool Ladies Football Club, working with the players and strength and conditioning coaches to provide a full programme of injury management, rehabilitation and injury prevention for all training and games.

Katie recently returned to the UK after a period working and travelling in New Zealand and Australia. Her favourite job during her travels was in a private practice in one of New Zealand’s South Island ski resorts; Mt. Hutt. When not on the slopes herself, her case load involved a wide variety of interesting cases, especially those sustained whilst skiing and snowboarding.

Katie helps her patients return to their optimal function through an approach involving a combination of hands-on manual treatment, patient specific rehab and exercises, and education to promote self maintenance and, where possible, avoid an injury recurring. Katie also uses acupuncture and dry needling to compliment treatments when appropriate.

Outside work Katie enjoys travelling, skiing and snowboarding – as well as watching nearly any sport!
