Over the past 8 years Laura has specialized in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a particular interest in the rehabilitation of shoulder injuries. Laura is also currently studying for an MSc in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science via ISEH + UCL.
Starting her physiotherapy career working in the NHS, Laura also worked part time with the junior academy teams at Saracens Rugby Club. After a year in the NHS, Laura was appointed to a full time position at Saracens Rugby with their Academy program and progressed to the position of Head of Academy. In 2013, Laura was promoted to the senior team and continues to do whilst working part time at Bodybalance. She is very proud to have been part of the premiership winning season in 2013-14.
In her clinical practice, Laura utilises a variety of techniques including manual therapy and soft tissue techniques, but places the highest importance on exercise prescription in order to load tissue and promote recovery and healing.
Laura’s exercise prescription skills enable her to tailor programs to the individual and their activity or sport which they are looking to return to. Her experience in team sports have enhanced her knowledge in strength & conditioning and end stage rehabilitation with knowledge of specific goal setting for return to play and contact sports.
Laura has a background in swimming teaching and is attempting to use this knowledge as she trains for her first Triathlon in August 2016.
