Specialist Womens Health Physiotherapist
Rochelle Cowan qualified as a physiotherapist in Australia, completing her undergraduate training at University of Melbourne in 2001. She then went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Exercise for Women in 2004.
Rochelle moved to Israel in 2005 where she spent seven years working in a women-only private clinic. Since moving to the UK five years ago, she has further specialised to focus specifically on the physical health and wellbeing of women.
Rochelle has worked in various physiotherapy sectors throughout her career, but her passion has always been in the area of Women’s Health. Rochelle strongly believes that women need to be empowered to understand and take care of their bodies and she teaches women to self heal where possible.
Rochelle provides physiotherapy for women with a variety of symptoms; pre- and post-natal back aches, pelvic pain and instability, breast care and feeding positions, SPD, DRAM (stomach separation after birth), pelvic floor rehabilitation, incontinence issues and sexual pain. She combines both her own life experience of five natural births and her clinical knowledge and understanding of physiotherapy, to provide a relevant and evidence based treatment to every patient.
Rochelle lives in the UK with her British husband and 5 children. She doesn’t believe the weather should be an obstacle to the Aussie way of life which is why you will often find her cooking her steaks on the barbeque throughout the British winter months!
