Specialist MSK and Paediatric Physiotherapist
Anujan qualified as Physiotherapist in 2002. After working in India in a neuro-rehabilitation clinic, he moved to Ireland where he worked for 10 years in a paediatric role. Anujan then moved to New York to specialise in musculoskeletal and sports injury physiotherapy at a large multi-speciality hospital, Hospital for Special Surgeries (HSS). His passion for further education led him to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in Virginia. His Doctoral thesis was in rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction using structured intervention to maximise the outcome.
Working across both fields of sports injuries and paediatrics, Anujan follows a patient-centred approach in understanding the presenting problem and the effect it has on your day-to-day functional activities. He aims to work together with the patient to discuss the management options and develop a plan that will enable the patient to recover to their maximum potential.
Along with his part-time role at Bodybalance, Anujan also works as a highly specialised paediatric physiotherapist in the Whittington Health NHS Trust. In his spare time he enjoys reading, exercising, spending time with his family and playing football with his son.
