During GCSE and A-Level Physical Education (PE), it sparked my interest in learning how the human body works, leading me to explore related careers. My parents suggested shadowing a private MSK physiotherapist they had seen in the past, to help me find a career that supported my interest. Observing the physiotherapist’s wide expertise and ability to help people, at that moment I knew that physiotherapy was the career for me.
I graduated from my Physiotherapy Bachelor of Science degree at Coventry University. I started my career working as a rotational physiotherapist in the NHS for under two years, while at the same time doing part-time sports massage at a private physiotherapy clinic. Wanting to explore my options, I then chose to go into the private musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy route where I worked for two years at a private outpatient clinic in an orthopaedic hospital, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
To build my passion for this area more I then joined The BodyBalance Physiotherapy Clinic, where I have continued to develop my skills in assessing and treating people after either an injury or post-orthopaedic surgery. Combining my knowledge on physical rehabilitation in line with the body’s biomechanics, I especially enjoy putting together a comprehensive plan in aiding the patient’s recovery in line with their goals, whether they’re an athlete returning to sport or just wanting to return to normal function.
I have experience in treating all areas of the body from neck down to the foot, however my particular interest is in assessing and rehabilitating lower limb injuries, particularly the foot and ankle.
When not in clinic, I have an affinity for the outdoors and love to regularly go camping, hiking and my most favourite is going surfing. Day to day I love running outdoors, skateboarding, doing yoga and reading a good book.
