Tessa Adams is a highly experienced Sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist with additional qualifications in Strength and conditioning and pre and post natal rehabilitation. Along side her work as a physiotherapist she is also the Clinical lead at our Hatfield clinic. Her special interests include: Lower limb injuries (Hip/groin, knee, ankle/foot), Shoulder injuries, and the spine as well as pre and post natal rehabilitation.

Tessa grew up in NZ in an active and sporty family, so it was no surprise from an early age she wanted a career in physiotherapy. She studied a Bachelor of physiotherapy at Otago University and continued her love of sports working with University rugby and playing hockey. Graduating in 2007, she worked for 5 years in private practice in New Zealand, specializing in sports injuries and rehabilitation, and working with New Zealand's national level youth women's football.

In 2012 Tessa moved to the UK, working in several private practices across London before eventually joining the team at Bodybalance. Tessa's drive to learn and develop led to her completing a Masters in MSK Physiotherapy, focusing on Strength and Conditioning.

Tessa works with people of all ages to help them return to a healthy, active life. Her years of experience in sports and private practice combined with her education in strength and conditioning allows her to underpin everything she does with science, using this to truly find the source of injury or pain and take you through a journey to fully rehabilitate and get you back to better than you were before !!

Outside of the Clinic Tessa spends time with her daughter Evie, son Max, and Husband, as well as working on her own training and fitness. She loves to travel and spend time outdoors as much as possible.
